1972 Trip to Nova Scotia and other memories of the '70's

I drove my Pinto up to Nova Scotia to see the total eclipse of the sun. But what a trip it was...!

My 15 year old brother Lorin and I set out from Detroit, Michigan on the longest trip of our lives. I am combining the notes from my spiral notebook journal with the photos of my trip.

Monday

Day of the Eclipse

July 10, 1972

Today is Monday, and in about 3 1/2 hours the eclipse will occur. We are staying at the campground as the North shore is too crowded. We have reservations to see "Ballade" at the Confederation Center tonight.
